It’s such a joy to spend time with groups of women who love to laugh a little, grow in their faith, and leave with their spirits a bit more refreshed. Honestly, it fills my heart right up.
Whether I’m in a church basement where women are spreading colorful tablecloths, setting out centerpieces, and arranging salads, bars, and buns, or at a retreat center where the lake sits still and the trees stand quietly outside the window, one thing I’ve noticed again and again is this: deep down, we all long to know we’re loved and that our lives really do matter.
Thinking back on the wonderful groups I’ve been with lately, I felt nudged to share a little reminder with you too. So, I brushed off a favorite note of encouragement. It reminds us of one of those timeless truths worth hearing again:
You are seen. You are loved. So very much.
May your heart be encouraged today.

It’s so predictable. And it always makes me grin.
The Wheel of Fortune TV show.
When contestants introduce their family in the audience, it’s never just “This is my wife, Helen.” Oh no. It’s always:
“My incredibly beautiful wife, Helen.”
“My amazing husband, Floyd.”
Every single time. They gush. They beam. They make Helen and Floyd sound like royalty, and when the camera pans to them, you can tell—they feel it. They’ve been noticed. Lifted up. Seen.
And isn’t that what we all want?
Not necessarily to be introduced on national TV with fireworks and fanfare (though some would find that delightful!), but to know we matter. To know someone sees us.
Maybe today you wish someone would notice you. Just acknowledge that you exist, that you’re special. Not to headline the news, but simply to be remembered in the middle of a regular Thursday.
So lean in, friend. Here’s the truth that won’t make the evening news but will change your day:
God notices you.
Over and over again, Scripture reminds us:
- You are an incredible work of art. (Ephesians 2:10)
- You are greatly loved. (Romans 5:8)
- You are His treasured possession. (Deuteronomy 7:6)
- You are the apple of His eye. (Psalm 17:8)
YOU are someone who is loved. Even when you don’t feel it.
YOU are someone who is gifted and talented. Even when you don’t see it.
YOU are someone who brings something special into this world. Even when you don’t know it.
Beautiful Helen and Amazing Floyd may get thirty seconds of glowing airtime, but your name is written in God’s Book of Life, in words that last forever. He sees you. He delights in you. He would rather die for you than live without you.
So the next time you wonder if you’ve been overlooked, remember this:
If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.
And He would smile every single time He opened the door.
P.S. If your women’s group or church is planning an event, retreat, or even a Saturday morning with coffee and muffins, I’d love to be considered. Wherever women gather, a little laughter, faith-filled encouragement, and reminders of God’s goodness have a way of refreshing your soul and reigniting your spirit!

You have no idea how much I needed to be reminded of this today. Thank you!
