Stuff and Struggles – God Knows

From my heart to yours …

If circumstances feel really tough right now …
If life feels overwhelming …
If you’re wondering if God moved and didn’t leave a forwarding address …

You are not alone. We’ve all been there – or are there now.
And this season will pass. (Maybe not on your timeline, but it will pass.)
God has good things in store for you.

While we wait for things to change, here’s a little note of encouragement for you:

God knows.

Yes, those two little words …
God knows.

God knows your disappointment with how your life looks right now.
God knows your sadness over opportunities that have been lost.
God knows your deep worries about people you care about.
God knows you’re struggling to hold things together.
God knows how many tears you’ve cried.

God knows.
And He is loving you and working in ways you cannot see or understand.

A couple weeks ago, I was overwhelmed with stuff and struggles. Nothing was wrong but everything was wrong. (You know what I mean, right?) No big crisis but a whole bunch of disappointments, worries, frustration, and fretting.

But. Those two words came to me clearly in an early morning “Come to Jesus” conversation and I started to feel more hopeful.
God knows.

I sat silently in those words for some time, and eventually, my heart calmed, and my mind slowed down.

For the next few days, with the stuff and struggles still showing up, I let those words set up a cozy home in my heart and brain. I said them out loud. I prayed them. Whispered them. Often. Frequently. Like a lot.

And it changed me.

I stopped asking God “Why?”  and stopped complaining and fretting and feeling sorry for myself.

I ignored the question that satan kept whispering in my ear … “Why doesn’t a loving God change this?”

I refused to try and figure things out because I knew the answer wouldn’t come. Asking “Why? When? How?” distracted me from learning how to live in those moments.

Instead, I let the moments be the moments, knowing that I couldn’t change anything on my own. AND, I covered those moments with those two words: God knows.

The God who hangs the stars and names them. The God who knows how many hairs are on your head. The God who turns water into wine and parts the Red Sea. The God who has shown Himself faithful. The God who loves you just as you are.

This is The God Who Knows.
He cares. He has not forgotten you. He sees you. He hears you.

So, my friend.
If you’re dealing with stuff and struggles, remember …
God knows.

Find your peace in those two words until the situations change or the season passes.

God knows.
