Steve and I were traveling through Iowa, and we weren’t where we wanted to be, or where we thought we should be. And because we didn’t know where we were, we weren’t sure how to get back on track!
So what do we trust? The map? Signs? Common sense? Each other?
After a short, “frustrated” conversation (Oh, you know what I mean!)…we wound our way through the countryside until we reached a familiar landmark.
Life is like that sometimes.
We’re looking for direction.
Who do we listen to? What do we depend on? What road map do we follow?
The bottom-line answer: God’ heart.
God’s heart will never, ever, ever lead us down the wrong way.
Where do we find His heart?
In His Word. Through prayer. Talking with Him.
Why can we depend on God’s heart?
Look at the cross. That’s how much He loves us.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
It’s the best guide ever.
