Find the Fun Now!

Several ideas for this little note zipped around in my brain, but none of them were really landing. They felt like moths who would fly right up to the bright bulb but then dash away, looking perhaps for a brighter bulb?

I kept going back to my post from a year ago: Find the Fun!
That message still just feels so right for this week in July, and when I circle it up to the light bulb, it just keeps circling! And doesn’t the image of the tap dancing ladies make you smile!

So, enjoy this favorite from the past. New post next time!
Stay safe and find the fun now!

You know that fun thing you’ve always wanted to try?
Go and do it.

You know that fun thing you used to do before you got “too busy” or “too old?”
Go and do it again.

Maybe it’s time to stop waiting for the perfect time to do that fun dream. That one that has lived quietly inside a corner of your heart for too long.
Maybe it’s time to let go of the excuses.
Maybe it’s time to move through your fear.
Maybe it’s time to stop worrying about what people might think.
Maybe it’s time to let go of doing it perfectly … or even correctly.

Maybe it’s time to have some more fun.

Because here’s the deal…
Every one of us has that “something” we’d love to try or do. It doesn’t have to be so scary. And it is totally OK if we mess it up.

Just think of the stories you can tell your friends! (They will be so proud of you!)

Believe me … there is a large cheering section that is just waiting for you to find the fun and do it.

So …

Do the fun!
Paint the picture.
Ride the bike.
Take the cooking class.
Go swimming.
Visit a museum.
Play the tambourine.
Learn French.
Dance.
Rearrange the furniture.
Write your memoir.
Read the novel.

Listen to your heart.
Find your fun.
Do it.

And if it tickles your fancy, throw on the bright red skirt, add the red, white, and blue hat, and dance your heart out!

P.S. Send me a quick note and tell me what fun thing you’re doing! I’ll cheer and clap and giggle with you!
