BlessBack

“Guide me to the people who are coastliners I can trust.
As I have looked back over my life,
I realize just how significant people are to my own journey through life.
Some have only stayed for a year or two;
Some have been with me since I was born.
Help me honor them in a way that reflects their impact and my gratitude for their influence.”

A benediction from BlessBack: Thank Those Who Shaped Your Life by Julie Saffrin.

Mrs. McCauley was my first grade teacher.
She taught me that reading, writing, and arithmetic could be fun.

Don Anderson taught me how to play piano from my heart.

Wally May saw business potential in me and gave me my first corporate job.

Mark LeBlanc told me I could write a book.  So I did.

So many individuals have left their fingerprints on my mind, my dreams, and my heart.
They deserve a Lalapalooza-sized “Thank you!”

My new Girlfriend, Julie Saffrin, has written a practical, heart-felt book on the best ways to thank those significant people we’ve met on life’s journey:  BlessBack: Thank Those Who Shaped Your Life.

A BlessBack calls us to times years ago, or hours ago, when we remember the acts of kindness that touched and changed our lives.  And then it invites us to re-connect with those people who influenced our lives and created those moments, and say “Thank you.”

I encourage you to recall the moments, consider the memories, and then reconnect with the memory-givers.  Julie’s book is a great way to make it a natural part of your life.  And…her blog is delightful to read!

 “Help me honor them in a way
that reflects their impact and my gratitude for their influence.”
