You Matter

A few months ago when I was reworking my website, I thought and prayed long and hard about what I wanted readers to know. And the key message boiled down to the first two sentences I used on my Home Page:

If we were sitting in a little café getting to know each other, I’d put my hand on your arm and whisper this to you…Your life matters. No one else can be you, and that makes you extraordinarily significant.

Some of us don’t mind being seen on stage or greeted with big embraces or acknowledged with lots of attention. And others of us are most comfortable in the back row, hearing the high-five whisper or reading the encouraging words from a small note card.

But within each of us, no matter our preference for how it is done…there is a desire to be noticed. To know that our life matters. To know that we are seen.

So may I reach through this impersonal computer screen or mobile app and just squeeze your hand and say…

You are loved so much.
If you are feeling unnoticed…I am noticing you.
If you are feeling uncared for…I am caring for you.
If you are feeling alone…I am reaching out, holding your hand.

Please don’t let one more moment pass without hearing that you are a valuable person of worth. Your circumstances don’t define that, you know.

You are a person of worth because God has stamped his approval on you. He has called you to be His own. Nothing you have done can ever make you insignificant, because God himself says you are significant.

You are seen.
You are cared for.
You are not alone.

I love you, Dear Friend.
If you need a little word of encouragement…send me an email and let’s connect.
