There is something I can do.
It hurts to watch the news, doesn’t it?
How can this happen?
The answers just don’t come.
So what can I do?
I don’t know what to do today about Colorado Springs, CO and San Bernardino, CA and Roseburg OR, and the list continues…and that’s only a few in just the U.S.
But I do know what I can do in St. Paul, MN.
I can show up with Grace.
Every single day. With every single person. In every single situation.
I can choose to live from a place of Love. Patience. Blessing.
It may sound simplistic and naïve.
But I believe from the bottom of my heart that each of us has the opportunity every day to impact our little slice of the world. Through our words. Our actions.
And our little slice of the world will be better because of them.
If we aren’t showing up with Grace, we are probably showing up with anger. Getting even. Fighting to be right. Unforgiveness. Bitterness.
And that’s when we start to make unwise choices that change our little world.
Hurting the hearts and souls of family, friends, the grocery store clerk, our co-workers.
The idea of showing up with Grace in no way diminishes the horror of mass shootings.
But it keeps me from feeling powerless and insignificant.
I can be an influencer. For something good.
Wouldn’t it be something?
If we each choose to live Grace?
It will make a difference.
It’s something we can do. Starting right now. No training required.
Let’s choose Grace.
