His Words to My Heart

This is what I hear Jesus saying today…

Are you feeling a bit weary? I know what that feels like.
When my days on earth were long and the needs were great, I knew that my strength would be restored when I would go away to a quiet place. I needed to take time away from those I was called to serve, from my family, and be alone with my Heavenly Father. The work was still there…but it was more important for me to commune with Him. Sometimes it was for moments. Sometimes hours. Sometimes longer. My quiet place was often just away from the crowds, in nature. Alone. In the quietness. Without giving heed to the noise around me.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. (Mark 1:35)

Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest… (Mark 6:31)

I see your hurting heart. Your struggle to take the next step. You are trying so hard to figure it all out. To make sense of the things in life that don’t make any sense. Your desire to control the events and the people and the consequences will only bring disappointment and frustration. Let that go.
Feel my arms around you…holding you…I’m not going to abandon you. I am right here.
Take a deep breath and release that anxiety into my love and trust.
You can stop fighting. I have already won the battle.

Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10)

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned…Do not be afraid, for I am with you. (Isaiah 43:2,5)

I wish you could comprehend how deep and how wide my love is for you.
My love has no boundaries. No conditions. It is a perfect love that you will not ever experience on earth.
There is nothing – No Thing – you can do to make me love you more, or keep me from loving you. My love does not depend on you doing the right things or saying the right things.
I love you, Dear Child. Right where you are today.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him… (Psalm 103: 11)

Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. (Psalm 36:5)

And lo, I am with you always. (Matthew 28:20)
